Enjoy The Great Outdoors With Inflatable Kayaks

Whether you have the Intex Challenger K1 Kayak or any infalatable or fiberglass kayak you will agree that they are all loads of fun. Depending on the type of kayak you buy its use can be varied. For example, it can be used for general family fun days out with the kids to the beach or you could take it on a camping trip and use it along a river. If you live nearby the sea or canal you can even use it every morning for a daily exercise routine.

Buying a kayak for the first time is very exciting although before you do so make sure you are choosing the right type. You will need to consider what variety of kayak you need for the type of activity you will be doing with it.

There are generally three types of Kayaks available.

  • Hard sided or rigid kayaks
  • Inflatable kayaks
  • Collapsible kayaks

If you have your eye set on the superb Intex Challenger K1 Kayak then an inflatable is what you are looking for. Of course you may be looking for something a little different.

Types Of Kayak

Hard sided or rigid kayaks are traditionally made from wood by the owner. You can probably find a wooden kayak in a store somewhere but these beautiful kayaks can be symbolic to those that own them or make them with their own two hands and so buying one kind of defeats the object. Of course for people living out in the wilderness there may be no choice but to build one.

Plastic Kayaks are much less hassle and expense of all the rigid ones although you may find them to be heavier. These are good to have if you are to do some touring on a low budget as these are pretty strong and so will require less maintanence.

Fiberglass kayaks are a popular choice because you get the rigid strength of the hard sided variety but at a fraction of the weight. However, you will pay more for a fiberglass kayak.

I would say the most popular type of kayak available these days are the inflatable kayaks. These are perfect for anyone who has never used a kayak before and want something to get started with. Do not be mistaken though, these are also chosen by seasoned kayakers to use on their various trips away.

I would say one of the main reasons for their popularity is the fact that they are extremely lightweight and are totally portable. There versatility is amazing as there is an inflatable kayak for every type of kayaking you follow. It does not matter if you just want a relaxing paddle on the river or an adventure on white water rapids there will be an inflatable boat to suit you. The prices of inflatable boats are generally cheaper than that of hard sided boats and they also are remarkably tough and durable as well.

The Intex Challenger K1 Kayak is a great boat for those of you who do not want to spend a small fortune but still want quality. It is a great boat for overnight trips or camping and because of the low price the whole family could have one each of their own.

You will get an Intex Challenger Kayak for a much lower price than any fiberglass boat and do not worry about any punctures as it can take a fair beating but if one was to occur then you can use the repair kit that comes with the boat.

So, choose a kayak that suits your needs and remember there is an inflatable kayak in your price range that is right for you and your family.

Hello Eliza,

The maximum weight capacity of this Intex K1 Kayak is 220lbs.

These are one of the strongest inflatable kayaks around for the price but I would still try to stick to the recommended weight limit.

Hope that helps.

Hi Megzi_24

You could try Amazon as they always offer some kind of discounted price. Or you could bid for one on Ebay. I am sure there will be other places you can buy discounted kayaks but these are the two that come to mind.

Hope that helps.

Andy
