The UTG MK96 Shadow Ops is a steal at this price! I would compare it to high end guns like Tokyo Marui's PSG-1! Its good to go out of the box, except for it doesn't come with a scope. I bought a 4x32 Leapers and mounted it on the top Weaver rail and it shoots like a dream now that I have the hop up and the scope all dialed in!

The unique bi-pod is great. It mimics the actual thing, its supposed to be a bit wobbly to help you aim and make it more comfortable when your are laying down and prone.

A must get for a gun, even the 2 magazines that came with this gun are a steal!

The accuracy on this thing is insane. i can easily get a head shot at 30 yards and a body shot at around 50 yards. this gun packs a punch to. I got shot with this thing at 30 feet and it broke the skin and my arm started bleeding. I highly recommend this gun for beginning snipers.

My 11 year old son got this for christmas. I was shocked by the high quality of this product when he opened it. It is a lot heavier than I thought it would be. It is def not a gun he will be running around with. It is extreamly well made, and shoots nice. Does not come with a scope. Would purchase this item again. My son loves it.

Purchased for my 14 yr old son who recently started playing 'AirSoft' (think BB gun wars but with high powered pellet rifles instead of bb's and with full cammo / battle-dress-unis / tac ops employed). His role on the team as 'Sniper' has never been more successful apparently since he began employing the Black Type 96 rifle - which basically mimics the look and feel (right down to the rifle's weighting) of a .50 cal sniper rifle.

The rifle is easily effective inside of 100 yards and performs well with heavier AirSoft pellets (less drift). The stock scope is decent, however I did suggest an upgrade to a slightly more effective scope which we purchased thru Amazon for appx $40 which increased my son's effective range to near max the rifle's capacity. The incorporated bi-pod (mounted on the rail) is very useful as well and allows for accurate sighting from a prone position. I suggest you carry a side-arm / SMG in addition to the .50 cal, lest you be swarmed and overtaken if your position is identified :)
